"I was born with a bronze skin and I like it. Some of my friends were born white or black or yellow. They were not consulted. But that's all right. There are yellow roses, white roses, and red roses and the fragrance of one is about as nice as another." ~Chief Walking Buffalo

www.partnersinthehorn.org

It's been almost a month since my last post. Yikes! No new news to report (yet) on the adoption front - but (hopefully) will be able to post an exciting development before the end of March. I am not referring to a referral, just have some exciting news that I am looking forward to being able to officially share with everyone.

In the meantime, we're just trying to get through the rest of winter. March is on the horizon, so that is the light at the end of the tunnel and before we know it the long summer days will have arrived.

For those who don't know, I have been looking into doing some fundraising for Ethiopia. I found a great charity called "Partners in the Horn of Africa". I am really excited about them because 100% of donations go directly into projects in Ethiopia. This organization gives a hand up to struggling Ethiopians and partners with them to build bridges, wells and micro-financing. Please check out there site, they say it better than me:

Once I get my registration in for "The Great Big Run for Africa" I will tell you more about what I am doing and how you can help.

More to come...so stay tuned.
